A total of 12 sets of quick release hooks were successfully installed at Gdańsk Port, Poland. The installation process involved careful coordination with the local teams to ensure all safety protocols were followed and the QRHs were securely mounted to the designated mooring points.
All quick release hooks are integrated with capstans, remote release systems, and load monitoring. The remote release and load monitoring systems are connected to the central monitoring system in the control room.
The integration ensures real-time data tracking, providing operators with immediate feedback on the load status and the ability to remotely release the hooks if necessary. This setup enhances safety and operational efficiency by allowing for quicker responses in dynamic or emergency situations. The central monitoring system in the control room continuously monitors the performance of each hook, offering both visual and audible alerts if any irregularities or faults are detected. This system improves the overall management of mooring operations, reduces the risk of human error, and increases the port’s ability to handle vessels safely and efficiently.
GLEN provided comprehensive service and support for this project, which is scheduled to run in 2025.
